Though I do love Portal, the Half-life series remains to be my favourite game ever, hands down. Being able to revisit the first game by playing the fan-made Black Mesa Source remake of it was pure joy. I'd like to thank every soul who contributed to making the game, and to Valve for allowing them to do it. Seriously, it's perfect, right down to the epic soundtrack.
I've never drawn Freeman before, not even a sketch - I tried to do so here without using reference, so details will be off inevitably... also I have no idea as to the origin of his what, mildly vexed(?) expression here - feel free to make up your own story :]

the halflife series has to be the best made game series of all times
no other game involves combat and puzzle solving in such an awesome way ... i just hope after this wait we can get in HL3 the story of HL and the graphics of HL2 EP2

I'm just a casual gamer but I have to agree; I never had as much fun playing a game as I had with the whole Half Life series. I'm patiently waiting for more, but it's taking so long...

yeah ... HL and HL2 was nearly 10 years appart! tho some people say valve can simply not say the number 3 ... hl2 portal 2 l4D 2 counter strike 2 TF2 ... XD its hard to ignore!

I don't think it's entirely my idea, others have probably done that already, but I think it can't be a coincidence that the lambda looks like a hand holding a crowbar :D
